Dr Beata Nowok
SYLLS project, Research Fellow
Beata works on the Synthetic Data Estimation for UK Longitudinal Studies (SYLLS) project, a collaboration between the LSCS and UCL. She is based in Edinburgh.
Beata obtained an MSc in Quantitative Methods and Information Systems from the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland and a PhD in Demography from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Between 2004 and 2006, she was a researcher in the Central European Forum for Migration and Population Research (CEFMR) in Warsaw. Before joining the LSCS in April 2013, she was a research fellow in the ESRC Centre for Population Change (CPC). Her research interests include applications of quantitative methods in demography, in general, and longitudinal analysis of migration behaviour, in particular.
Beata is an associate member of CEFMR and a member of the editorial committee of Studia Demograficzne.
