PeopleStaff in the LSCS are based in the offices of the National Records of Scotland (NRS) in Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews.
Steering CommitteeThe steering committee is responsible for data protection, confidentiality and security issues for the Scottish Longitudinal Study and includes representatives from the LSCS, the National Records of Scotland, the Office for National Statistics, the National Health Service Central Register, the Information Statistics Division of the Scottish Executive and the public.
SLS Research BoardThe Research Board is responsible for assessing applications to use the SLS. It includes representatives from the main data providers and the SLS team, as well as an independent academic.
Management CommitteeThe establishment of the Scottish Longitudinal Study involved a joint bid including representatives from four Scottish universities.
This group formed the Management Committee which oversaw the development phase of the SLS and also made an excellent contribution to the longer-term strategic development of the study. Since the launch of the SLS, this committee has now ceased to operate. |
