Zengyi Huang

Zengyi is a senior research fellow and system developer at the LSCS. He has been working within the SLS development team based at the National Records Scotland (NRS) in Edinburgh since 2001 when the project began. During the construction period of the SLS database he was responsible for the development of computer systems and operation procedure for coding and editing Census data, the creation of Census and SLS derived variables and the quality assurance of SLS dataset.

Since the launch of SLS in 2007 he has been involved in a number of database development projects, including linking education data, NHSCR data, vital events data, and 2011 Census to the SLS. He is the co-investigator of an ESRC funded pilot study which investigates the feasibility of linking 1939 national registration data and historical vital events data to the SLS. He is also the SLS database administrator and provides support for the SLS users.
