Joseph Barbour
Technical Data Officer and Database Developer for the SLS, University of Edinburgh.
With a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts (BFA) and a background of technical support roles, Joseph has a knack for problem-solving; building creative solutions to a variety of technical problems. He’s a self-taught programmer, focusing User-centred and iterative design.
Prior to joining the SLS team, Joseph spent 13 years building robotic process automation, reports, databases, and systems for improving document control processes in the private sector. Design and management of databases became central to many of the projects that he worked on, including a work management system built from the ground up.
